Bradgate Park

by Prasada Caroline Brazier

Dark volcanic crags
Erupting from the bracken
Break the winter sky
In cold air rising, my heart,
Embracing the sunlight, leaps

NOTE: Bradgate Park is a beauty spot just north of Leicester. Geologically, it has some of the oldest surface rock in England.
